General AI, also known as strong AI or artificial general intelligence (AGI), would have the ability to understand, learn, and apply knowledge across a wide range of tasks, much like a human. General AI remains a theoretical concept and has not been achieved yet. AI techniques encompass various approaches, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and robotics. These techniques enable AI systems to learn from data, recognize patterns, make decisions, and improve their performance over time. AI has applications across numerous domains, including healthcare, finance, education, transportation, entertainment, and more. Its potential to automate tasks, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation makes it a significant area of research and development with implications for society, economy, and ethics.
